Positive Behaviour Solutions was founded in 2018 by Simone Coleman with the aim of empowering parents and educational providers with the knowledge and tools they need to make positive behaviour changes in their home or school environment.

An individual who is displaying challenging behaviour is often using that behaviour as a form of communication. They may be communicating that some need is not being met or that they are in distress, and they may currently not have the skills or an alternative way to communicate the same message.

Behaviour is defined as 'challenging' if it is causing harm to themselves or others, interferes with learning or development or prevents them accessing a meaningful quality of life.

Positive Behaviour Solutions uses evidence-based practices and reinforcement procedures based on the principles of

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). It is also crucial to understand neurodivergence and the differences in communication style, interactions and play preferences with Autistic children.

I work with parents, professionals, education providers and staff teams for both children and adults with or without a specific diagnosis. I work from a neuroaffirmative perspective and emphasise and respect the individuals' unique strengths and communication style.
