Supporting you to understand problem behaviour and develop Positive Behaviour Solutions
I am a Behaviour Specialist (BCBA®) and Mum of one based in Dublin with over 10 years experience working within the field of psychology, Autism, disability and behavioural problems. Let me help you understand what is maintaining problem behaviour and give you the tools to fix it.
I specialise in working with families and staff teams who are experiencing behaviour that challenges. I conduct behavioural assessments, develop behaviour support plans, set up and supervise home tuition programmes and also run challenging behaviour training workshops.
Consultations can be held in-person or over phone/Skype.
I work within an evidence-based, person-centred framework to provide support in understanding the message being communicated behind problem behaviour. This knowledge can help parents, teachers and care-providers when dealing with behaviour that challenges.
Understanding why a behaviour occurs can help us create a plan of how it can be changed. Challenging behaviour can be a way an individual is communicating a certain need, and they have learned that displaying this behaviour is an effective way to get this need met. Our goal together is to discover the meaning behind the challenging behaviour and teach the individual a more appropriate way of communicating this same message.
